Axela Management is a growing and dynamic property management company focused on delivering exceptional living experiences to our residents. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to lead operations at one of our premier multifamily communities in downtown Hartford.
This role is a unique opportunity to treat the property like a lease-up, bringing energy, creativity, and strategy to maximize occupancy and resident satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a mid-sized residential property
- Lead all leasing efforts: generate traffic, give tours, close leads, and maintain occupancy goals
- Create and execute marketing strategies in collaboration with the executive team
- Ensure resident retention through proactive communication and excellent service
- Supervise on-site staff (leasing and maintenance) and hold team accountable for results
- Coordinate move-ins, renewals, and lease compliance using AppFolio
- Monitor rent collections, enforce lease terms, and minimize delinquency
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain the property to company standards
- Report financial performance, occupancy trends, and maintenance issues to regional management
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Property Manager or Assistant Manager
- Experience in lease-up or high-turnover properties strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of fair housing laws and landlord/tenant regulations
- Proficiency with AppFolio, Yardi, or similar property management software
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Able to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High-energy, self-motivated, and results-driven
