Axcess Industries is looking for a skilled and motivated Service Plumber / Manager to lead and support our growing service division. This is a working manager position, meaning you will oversee daily service operations while also assisting in the field when needed.
We are looking for someone with strong plumbing knowledge, leadership ability, excellent communication skills, and solid computer proficiency who can help keep operations running efficiently while providing outstanding customer service.
Position Summary
The Service Plumber / Manager is a hybrid role that includes working from the office, remotely from home, and at customer job sites. This position is responsible for managing schedules, dispatching technicians, communicating with customers, quoting jobs, and assisting with plumbing service work in the field when necessary.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and capable of balancing leadership responsibilities with hands-on plumbing work.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily service operations
- Dispatch work orders to plumbing and electrical technicians
- Answer customer calls and respond to emails professionally
- Enter and manage work orders using company software systems
- Coordinate schedules with customers and field technicians
- Navigate customer portals and service platforms
- Work with technicians to prepare job quotes and estimates
- Submit quotes and follow up with customers
- Travel to customer locations to review and quote jobs
- Assist technicians in the field when additional support is needed
- Handle overflow service calls during busy periods
- Fill in for technicians during vacations or absences
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service calls
- Coordinate with Industrial, Electrical, and Inspections divisions as needed
- Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Participate in company training and safety programs
- Communicate effectively with customers, office staff, and field personnel
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to the service team
Qualifications
- Strong plumbing service experience required
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and mobile technology
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with scheduling, dispatching, and quoting is preferred
- Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pull trailers is a plus
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Must live within driving distance of Fleetwood, PA
Working Conditions
- Combination of office work, remote work, and field service work
- Travel to customer locations as needed
- Work in commercial, retail, and manufacturing environments
- Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and climb ladders safely
Pay: $28.42 - $34.23 per hour
