Essential Job Duties
The Business Administrator oversees all non-pedagogical financial and operational life at WSRF, with focus across several core domains:
- Executive leadership: translate school priorities into sustainable budgets, staffing plans, and timelines.
- Financial Operations: monthly financials, annual budget, multi-year forecast, cash-flow projections, and reserve/investment strategy.
- Remote accounting team: develop, hire, and supervise a bookkeeper. work with CPA firm for annual tax filing and annual review.
- Internal controls: oversee the general ledger and close process, separation of duties, annual audit, and tax filings.
- Systems, HR & operations: payroll, benefits, personnel records, vendor management, and operational risk

The Ideal Candidate Has
- Substantial nonprofit, school, or similarly complex financial/operational leadership experience.
- Skills in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls.
- Experience supervising remote bookkeeping or accounting professionals.
- Working knowledge of employment practices, benefits, and organizational compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience); advanced degree or credential preferred.
- Independent school or Waldorf experience preferred.
Salary: $106,000.00
