Assembler - 1st Shift

About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: Assembler
• Pay Rate: $18.00-$19.00/Hour
• Location: Minnetonka, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 6AM-3PM & Friday 6AM-10AM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire

Requirements and Qualifications:
1. High School diploma or equivalent industrial experience preferred
2. 1 to 2 years’ experience in assembly preferred
3. 1 to 2 years’ experience in electrical assembly desired
4. Must have basic ability to use computer keyboard and mouse
5. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
6. Standing for long durations of time
7. Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools
8. Medical device experience preferred
9. Strong English language speaking and reading skills required
10. Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Safety Management, Quality Focus, Light Machinery Operation, Judgment, Decision Making

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cuts materials, according to specifications, or cuts excess material or thread from finished product, using blade, scissors, or electric knife.
2. Folds or fits together materials, such as cloth, foam rubber, plastic to prepare for machine sewing.
3. Operates presses, assembly fixtures and sealing machines to cut and assemble products
4. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
5. Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
6. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
7. Assembles electrical components and test for functionality
8. Verifies specifications by measuring and/or test completed component.
9. Works with lead/supervisor to resolves assembly problems.
10. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
11. Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
12. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
13. Uses material handling equipment to move materials as needed
14. Assists production workers in picking materials for work orders
15. Picks and prepares finished products for shipment to assist shipping staff
16. May be asked to ship product using ERP software and shipping system during busy times or when regular shipping staff is unavailable
17. Performing repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
