Overview
We are hiring a Industrial Mechanical Installer to support the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical systems across multiple job sites. This role is ideal for someone with a mechanical mindset, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. Welding experience is a plus, but motivated candidates who want to grow into the role are encouraged to apply.
Important Details
This position is based in Pierre, SD. If you do not currently live in the area, we can support your relocation and provide housing and transportation assistance.

What You’ll Do
- Assemble and install machinery and mechanical systems, then test for performance
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and run diagnostic checks
- Repair or replace machine components using welding/brazing tools when needed
- Align and calibrate equipment using specialized tools (micrometers, plumb bobs, etc.)
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints (or learn quickly)
- Support equipment transfer and installation at multiple sites
- Perform routine tool and equipment maintenance
- Help load/unload and safely transport materials and tools
- Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and heights
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Comfortable with physically demanding work (lifting 50 lbs, standing long hours)
- Comfortable working at heights
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be able to work 10 hour shifts when required
- Must have a smartphone for work apps/communication
- Intermediate English required (bilingual preferred)
Preferred
- 2-year technical degree in welding OR equivalent hands-on experience
- OSHA 10 certification
- Experience working with construction or industrial machinery
- Ability to read blueprints (or strong willingness to learn)
Driver’s License
Not required. However, a driver’s license may be needed if driving company vehicles between job sites.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 65 per week
