POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supply Chain Intern will support the supply chain team in planning, procurement, inventory management, and logistics activities across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to end-to-end supply chain operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
The intern will work cross-functionally with procurement, production, and logistics teams while contributing to a capstone project to be presented at the conclusion of the internship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Assist with procurement activities, including purchase order creation, supplier communication, and tracking deliveries
- Support inventory management efforts, including cycle counts, data analysis, and accuracy improvements
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, shortages, and opportunities for optimization
- Assist with production planning and scheduling activities
- Support logistics coordination, including shipments, freight tracking, and vendor follow-up
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, finance) to support operational needs
- Help identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Maintain and update supply chain documentation and reports
- Complete a capstone project and present findings and recommendations to leadership
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of supply chain, logistics, or operations principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, pivot tables preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Interest in manufacturing and operations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field
Experience:
- Previous coursework, internship, or project experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics preferred but not required
Salary : $19 - $23
