POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Master Data & Analytics Lead to own the integrity, structure, and business value of enterprise data across our systems. This role will design and maintain master data standards (customers, products, vendors, inventory) while also defining KPI logic, building reporting infrastructure, and delivering operational insights across departments.
This is a hands-on role responsible for both building the foundation (golden records, governance, integrations) and activating it (dashboards, reporting, analytics). The ideal candidate combines strong data management expertise with practical business analytics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Own and maintain golden records across customer, vendor, product, and inventory domains.
- Design and enforce data governance standards, validation rules, and data quality controls.
- Implement and manage matching, deduplication, hierarchy management, and synchronization processes.
- Partner with business stakeholders to continuously improve master data processes and standards.
- Maintain documentation including data dictionaries, definitions, lineage, and data flow diagrams.
- Define, document, and standardize company-wide KPI definitions across Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
- Own reporting logic and metric calculations to ensure consistency and alignment across departments.
- Develop and maintain scalable reporting datasets and semantic layers.
- Ensure alignment between ERP/CRM system data and executive reporting outputs.
- Serve as the steward of enterprise reporting standards and metric definitions.
- Build and maintain dashboards and operational reporting in PowerBI.
- Translate business questions into structured SQL queries and analytical outputs.
- Perform data profiling and exploratory analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis on data discrepancies and operational performance issues.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and data-driven decision making.
- Partner with Business Systems and IT to ensure seamless integration between CRM, ERP, and reporting systems.
- Design and maintain SQL views, stored procedures, and reporting datasets.
- Support performance optimization and scalability of reporting structures.
- Collaborate on system enhancements impacting master data and analytics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years of experience in data-focused roles including exposure to SQL.
- Experience designing and maintaining golden records and data governance frameworks.
- Experience with at least one BI tool (PowerBI preferred).
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP Business One experience strongly preferred; Boyum/BEAS a plus).
- Strong ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
