POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Intern will support the finance and accounting team in financial reporting, analysis, and operational finance activities across the organization. This role provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to key financial processes, business performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
The intern will assist with day-to-day financial operations while contributing to meaningful projects, including a capstone presentation at the conclusion of the internship.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Assist with financial reporting, including preparation of reports and analysis of key metrics
- Support month-end close activities, including data gathering and account reconciliations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and general accounting functions as needed
- Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business and operational initiatives
- Assist in process improvement and standardization efforts within finance
- Complete a capstone project and present findings and recommendations to leadership
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data analysis, pivot tables preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism
- Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Experience:
- Previous coursework, internship, or project experience in finance or accounting preferred but not required
Salary : $19 - $23
