We're currently seeking a 1st Shift Planner to join our dynamic team and help drive our production operations to the next level.
Position Summary
The Planner plays a critical role in scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring jobs in our ISO 9001-certified machine shop. This position is responsible for maximizing shop efficiency, supporting inventory management, and ensuring on-time delivery-while maintaining AVStar's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage detailed production and inventory schedules
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure optimal resource allocation
- Utilize ERP systems (preferably JobBOSS) to manage schedules and materials
- Monitor job progress and adjust schedules as needed
- Analyze forecasts, customer orders, and trends to plan shipments and inventory
- Maintain communication with all key stakeholders
- Evaluate staffing and capacity to meet production goals
- Create and maintain accurate inventory control reports
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality standards and company objectives
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required, associate's degree in manufacturing preferred
- 3 years of planning/scheduling experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment (ISO 9001 experience preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Experience using JobBOSS or similar scheduling software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Regular, on-site attendance is required
