Role Description
- We are looking for a Property & Casualty Commercial Underwriter to help manage the firm's growth in our wholly-owned insurance entities (managing general agent and / or insurance wholesaler) in the United States.
- This is a six to twelve month contract (extendable or convertible into a full time role)
Key responsibilities:
- Underwrites day-to-day transactions in assigned specialty programs
- Coordinates underwriting, pricing, and loss control activities
- Improves existing insurance programs and underwriting methodologies
- Implements and improves underwriting program guidelines and ensures compliance
- Supports broker relationships
- Supports carrier & reinsurance relationships
- Monitors performance metrics and prepares reports
- Drives the business towards profitable underwriting growth
- Support and lead special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree 7-15 years of relevant professional experience underwirting commerical programs in the United States
