We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapeutic services that help patients develop, recover, and improve the skills needed for daily living and working.
Key Responsibilities
Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Provide direct patient care in accordance with established goals
Assist patients with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and daily living skills
Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and adaptive techniques
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment
Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in geriatrics, outpatient, skilled nursing, etc. preferred but not required.
