Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, be proficient in various trades, and demonstrate strong leadership abilities. This role requires effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Oversee the work of various trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and roofing.
- Perform construction estimating to determine project costs and budgets.
- Ensure quality control throughout the construction process by conducting regular inspections.
- Handle restoration projects and renovations with attention to detail in areas such as drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and painting.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including concrete forming, plastering, trim carpentry, caulking, cabinet installation, door hanging, glass installation, and hardscape work.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Experience
The successful candidate should have a robust background in construction management with hands-on experience in multiple trades. Key qualifications include:
