As a Barista & Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of Peet’s Coffee at Louis – Armstrong International Airport, delivering exceptional service and crafting high-quality beverages for travelers from around the world. From greeting customers to preparing handcrafted drinks and assisting with general sales floor duties, you’ll play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming experience.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and serve Peet’s signature beverages; ensuring quality and consistency.
- Welcome and greet customers warmly, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere.
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers and store management.
- Operate POS systems efficiently, including handling cash and credit card transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the café and sales area, following health and safety standards.
- Stock and replenish merchandise and coffee supplies on the sales floor and backroom.
- Assist with retail sales, including answering product questions and recommending items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak travel times.
Requirements:
- Barista experience or prior food & beverage service background, with strong knowledge of coffee preparation and customer interaction.
- Previous retail or hospitality experience, delivering excellent customer service
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced airport environment.
- Ability to pass an FAA background check.
- Must be available on weekends and have reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
- Passion for coffee and delivering an outstanding customer experience.
