About the Role
The Quality Coordinator is primarily responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure compliance with purchase orders, customer and product specifications, and standard industrial guidelines. Additional primary responsibilities include maintaining the calibrations and non-conformance process.
Responsibilities
- Inspections of fabrication welds and understanding of AWS/CWB welding processes.
- Ensure that all quality requirements and documentation are complete for projects, including quality-related data collection and record keeping.
- Assists in troubleshooting problems during inspection activities and recommends corrective action to resolve issues.
- Assists in maintenance and improvement of the ISO quality system required.
- Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) testing techniques such as Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) & Liquid Particle Inspection (LPI).
- Daily communication with all departments regarding quality issues.
- Demonstrated ability to use basic measuring devices and equipment and solid mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prepare non-conformance reports neatly and accurately.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in an ISO manufacturing environment.
Required Skills
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience working with ISO 9001, AWS D1.1/CSA W47.1 and AWS D1.1/W59.
- Scheduling, documenting, and technical support to Engineers is an asset.
- Must be able to work close tolerances and should be able to lift 50lb.
