This role blends people leadership, program operations, and mission-driven impact, ensuring participants receive high-quality, trauma‑informed services while supporting staff to do their best work.
What You’ll Do
- Provide overall leadership and day‑to‑day oversight of Transitional Recovery Lodging, ensuring services are person‑centered, trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented, and aligned with Housing First and harm‑reduction principles.
- Supervise, coach, and develop Program and Client Support Specialists, building a strong, accountable, and supportive team culture.
- Ensure 24‑hour program coverage and operational continuity, including participation in an on‑call rotation and providing direct support during urgent situations.
- Support participants throughout their stay and during successful transitions upon exit, including planning for housing, employment, education, and community connections.
- Develop, implement, and maintain program policies, procedures, and documentation in collaboration with leadership.
- Track, analyze, and report program outcomes, compliance requirements, and performance metrics using electronic health records and internal systems.
- Manage housing rosters, participant communications related to violations or move‑outs, and Emotional Support Animal (ESA) documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, funders, and internal teams to enhance coordination and participant access to services.
- Participate in budgeting, contract monitoring, and funding compliance, communicating risks or changes to leadership.
- Actively advance Avivo’s commitment to undoing racism and reducing disparities by leading culturally responsive, inclusive practices and supporting team development in these areas.
What You Bring
Required
- Associate degree 3 years of experience, or Bachelor’s degree 2 years of experience in human services or a related field.
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a behavioral health or housing‑related setting.
- Experience with—or a strong commitment to learning—harm reduction, trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented services.
- Experience using electronic health records and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Community mental health or co‑occurring disorders settings.
- Programs serving individuals with dual diagnoses and histories of homelessness.
- Operations or program management in behavioral health or supportive housing.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Sound professional judgment, problem‑solving ability, and ethical decision‑making.
- Clear, timely communication with staff, partners, and leadership.
- Ability to build trust, inspire accountability, and lead with dignity and respect.
- Comfort balancing structure with flexibility in a fast‑paced environment.
