Executive Director for AL/MC Community in Canton, Ohio
We are looking for an experienced ED to create a culture of teamwork to care for our residents and operate this AL/MC community efficiently. This delightful 81-unit assisted living and memory care property is located in the heart of Canton and has been recently renovated.
We Need a Strong Leader Who Will Focus On
Expertise Required
Leadership: to oversee, encourage, and mentor the staff including sales, nursing, activities, dining, maintenance and housekeeping.
Sales: to direct and be a part of the sales and marketing team, accountable for results including referral development and external relationship development.
Business attitude: to understand that you are running a big business and will be held responsible for its financial and operational performance. And you will be rewarded accordingly.
Compassion and care: to deal with families and residents to ensure the well-being of residents and peace of mind for families.
Communication: Strong ability to communicate, network with the community and healthcare providers, and conduct family meetings, addressing concerns and building trust with residents and all internal and external stakeholders

- The recruitment, training, and retention of talent of both leadership and operations staff.
- Financial management, requiring skills in managing budgets as well as capital expenditures.
- Resident satisfaction to attract and retain our valued residents.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all state regulations, surveys, Medicaid Waiver requirements, and industry standards.
- Oversee care quality, safety practices, and incident reporting to maintain a high-performing clinical environment.
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and collaboration across all departments.
- Conduct regular leadership meetings, performance reviews, and coaching to develop staff into future leaders.
- Promote a positive, service-driven workplace that aligns with AVIVA’s mission and values.

Experience Required
- At least five years in a leadership role in the senior-living industry preferred; would consider hospitality or other career paths
- Hands-on experience in financial management, budget preparation, cash flow management.
