Overview
As a Lease Administration Associate at Avison Young, you will support the day-to-day administration of commercial lease agreements within our Occupier Services Lease Administration team. This role focuses on ensuring accuracy and consistency across lease data, from abstraction and system entry through to supporting billing and collections processes. It is well-suited for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a foundational understanding of commercial real estate who is looking to develop their skills in a structured, fast-paced environment.
The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $50,000 to $65,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities
- Abstract and input key lease data into lease administration systems, ensuring accuracy of financial terms, critical dates, and obligations.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date lease documentation and records to support data integrity and accessibility.
- Support rent administration processes, including review of tenant charges in accordance with lease terms.
- Partner with accounting to track accounts receivable and assist with rent collection follow-up as needed.
- Monitor lease requirements, including critical dates, expirations, and options; proactively flag key events.
- Generate standard lease administration reports (e.g., rent rolls, critical date tracking, occupancy reporting).
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure lease data accuracy and compliance with established standards.
- Support onboarding and transition of accounts, including data validation and issue resolution.
- Analyze lease data and documentation to identify discrepancies and resolve routine and moderately complex issues.
- Respond to lease-related inquiries from internal stakeholders and tenants in a timely and professional manner.
- Contribute to team performance through accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to established processes.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in commercial real estate, lease administration, or property management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to perform calculations (e.g., percentages, escalations).
- Experience with lease administration or property management systems (e.g., CoStar, Leasecake, Corom, MRI/ProLease, Tango, TRIRIGA) preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
