Facility & Building Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary
The Facility & Building Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company's buildings, infrastructure, and facility systems. This role performs preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems while supporting manufacturing operations through equipment installations, facility improvements, and regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills, experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with internal teams and external service providers.
Responsibilities
· Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility infrastructure and building systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, roofing, structural components, boilers, pumps, generators, hot water systems, emergency lighting, exit signs, and related equipment.
· Perform preventive maintenance activities such as HVAC filter replacement, equipment cleaning, air distribution monitoring, and routine inspections to improve reliability, efficiency, and uptime.
· Maintain and support life-safety and compliance systems, including fire alarms, sprinklers, fire extinguishers, safety showers, eyewash stations, water filtration systems, and other safety-related equipment.
· Coordinate and support required regulatory, state, local, OSHA, building code, and company safety inspections and compliance activities.
· Respond promptly to facility emergencies, service requests, and repair needs to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity for building occupants and operational teams.
· Coordinate and manage third-party contractors and service providers, including elevator maintenance, landscaping, janitorial services, and other facility vendors, ensuring work meets quality, schedule, and service expectations.
· Monitor and maintain key control systems, facility supplies, restroom accessories, common areas, and other workplace support needs.
· Implement seasonal facility preparations, including freeze protection measures and snow/ice removal.
· Maintain maintenance records, equipment documentation, inspection reports, service logs, work orders, and vendor documentation.
· Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, engineering, EHS, and other internal teams to support operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on facility maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and building maintenance systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Valid Electrician's License or equivalent facility maintenance certification.
- Experience supporting manufacturing equipment installations and facility expansion projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, fire protection systems, and building code compliance.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations outside normal working hours, when required.
Compensation
- Competitive salary: $6,000–$8,000 per month, based on qualifications and experience.
Pay: $6,000.00 - $8,000.00 per month
