Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Junior-level Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Providing technical and engineering analysis for MDA flight requirements products to ensure accuracy, decomposition, and integration are complete.
- Participate in system requirements reviews and create and/or update requirement specifications and technical documentation.
- Supporting requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator, and other segments and components of the system.
- Providing review and analysis of engineering designs, requirements, and program status.
- Coordinating multi-domain reviews of design artifacts submitted in support of critical program reviews.
Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in STEM and a minimum of three (3) years of experience.
- Ability to apply Engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems.
- Experience writing, presenting, and coordinating product and engineering plans, policies, and procedures.
- Understanding system interface requirements and requirements management.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents.
- Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate.
- Works independently, as a team member, or as a leader of teams/tasks.
- Experience working in a configuration-controlled environment and ensuring proper levels of handling are applied to items.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and have a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MDA experience and familiarity with the Missile Defense System.
- Familiarity with MDA flight test targets and threats.
- Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools.
