Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Auditor to join our team. The Quality Assurance Auditor is directly responsible to conduct audits on behalf of the QA program to accomplish the audit function of the Part 145 Quality Management System. This includes both (Internal and External maintenance), vendors and meeting the requirements of Part 145 and applicable Part 121 auditing functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our team meets the highest standards of quality and compliance. This position requires a strong understanding of quality assurance processes, systems, and methodologies to effectively analyze and improve our practices.
Responsibilities
- Audit the effectiveness of company related processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with the team of Quality Assurance Auditors in the planning, customization, execution, documentation, and analysis of aircraft maintenance audits.
- Perform initial qualifying and recurrent onsite audits of Contracted Maintenance Providers.
- Audit processes to ensure AD compliance is maintained on all Company aircraft.
- Address all audit findings through verbal and written communication to initiate action.
- Utilize company software
- Track and follow-up on corrective action requests within set time parameters.
- Participate in the continuous development of audit checklist based on findings and execute audits in a manner that leads to the greatest degree of compliance, improvement, and safety.
- Complete initial and recurrent auditor training necessary to effectively conduct audits.
- Facilitate the process of addressing findings from audits, which ensures identification of root cause, developing corrective actions and an evaluation of corrective actions to determine effectiveness.
- Communicate and coordinate with system, process, and function owners to ensure that hazards identified during audits are mitigated.
- Ensure follow-up audits or evaluations are completed as required.
- Ensure compliance levels are accurately documented and reported.
- Report unresolved instances of inadequate corrective action/responses to the Quality & Safety Manager.
- Interact in a professional manner with regulatory authorities, maintenance vendors, customers, and company personnel.
- Foster an environment in which safety and compliance is everyone's concern.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience previously auditing (AS9100 or ISO 9001)
- Bachelor's Degree desired.
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification a plus
- Desired C.A.S.E. Level III Certified Auditor rating CPR/First Aid Certified
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Conversational Spanish a plus.
