Job Summary:
Aviata at Kissimmee Gardens is seeking a qualified Staffing Coordinator to join our team-oriented and patient-focused community! As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining our facility culture by overseeing daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage, and providing exceptional care to our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Complete schedules for the Nursing Staff and daily staffing sheets
- Interact with employees to cover daily staffing requirements and secure coverage for vacant shifts, open positions, vacations, and Director of Nursing-approved requests
- Prepare and complete daily nursing hours report for Executive Director/LNHA
- Calculate nursing hours daily to meet PPD requirements and maintain a log of daily and month-to-date PPD
- Communicate with admissions on a daily basis for census and admission/discharge status of patients
- Review daily punch detail report on each employee, verify hours worked, correct any errors, and identify trends
- Provide innovative, responsible healthcare by creating and implementing new ideas and concepts to improve systems and processes
- High school education or its equivalent; Associates Degree preferred, but not required
- Minimum one year of experience in long-term care or other medical settings; preference given to candidates with experience
- Must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to providing exceptional care
