About the Role
Rehabilitation Center of Winter Park is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Staffing Coordinator to join our team. In this key administrative role, you will ensure the nursing department is efficiently and effectively staffed to meet resident care needs. You’ll manage schedules, monitor attendance, and coordinate closely with department leaders to maintain smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and current contact lists for all nursing department staff
Track and document attendance, tardiness, and absences daily
Notify the Director of Nursing (DON) of attendance or scheduling issues per facility policy
Collaborate with HR and DON to schedule modified-duty staff as needed
Assist employees with timecards, day-off requests, and scheduling forms
Create and post monthly nursing schedules based on census and staffing needs
Address staff inquiries regarding schedules, timecards, and shift coverage
Ensure new hires receive ID badges, timecards, and schedules prior to orientation
Maintain up-to-date records of staff certifications and licenses
Support census-based staffing adjustments while minimizing overtime
Prepare payroll for the nursing department and coordinate with staffing agencies as required
Provide coverage for Unit Secretary duties when needed
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 2 year of experience as a Staffing Coordinator in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility
Knowledge of PPD/AHCA requirements
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
