- Provide coverage, stabilization, and progression of the social services department during times of vacancies and on-boarding of newly hired leaders
- Conduct assessments of social service department systems and processes to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulatory practices
- Consult with management staff to develop and implement policies and procedures for social services operations
- Conduct leadership evaluations of care center department heads and create plans to upgrade and develop talent
- Stay up-to-date on current federal and state regulations and make recommendations on policy changes
- Implement policies and procedures for identifying and addressing medically related social and emotional needs of residents
- Participate in community planning and discharge planning, and develop and implement social care plans
- Provide consultation to staff, community agencies, and families to solve resident needs and problems
- Review and develop plans of correction for social service deficiencies noted during survey inspections
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an approved school of Social Work
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in long-term/skilled nursing care
- Must possess knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
- Must be a member in good standing in the National Association of Social Workers
- Must be willing to travel throughout Central Florida
- Must live in Florida
- Demonstrated ability to assess resident needs, develop and implement a plan of care, and coordinate discharge planning process
