Job Summary:

Aviata Health Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at our Largo, Florida location. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing physical therapy services, programs, and activities
• Interpret physical therapy policies and procedures to personnel, residents, family members, and others as necessary
• Participate in discharge planning, development, and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, and individual restorative programs
• Initiate and implement individual restorative programs for residents in conjunction with their plan of care
• Brief residents on procedures involved in physical therapy and prepare necessary equipment
• Reassure residents before and during therapy treatment
• Be alert to resident's response to treatment and notify the therapist immediately for assistance as needed
• Demonstrate to residents and nursing personnel, as necessary, the use of medical appliances involved in physical therapy
• Create an environment and culture that enables the facility to fulfill its mission
• Document changes and follow up on condition
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Graduate of School of Physical Therapy Assistant
• Minimum of three months recent experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant working in a nursing home environment preferred
• State of Florida Physical Therapy Assistant License
