Public Relations Associate

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive PR Associate to join our Marketing and Communications team. This role will support Avia’s ongoing brand and product publicity efforts across North America, assisting with media relations, press material creation, event coordination, and cross-functional communication between internal teams and external agencies.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and passionate about storytelling — someone who can help turn complex product information into clear, engaging narratives that strengthen Avia’s brand image and credibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day PR operations, including media outreach, press monitoring, and coverage tracking.
• Maintain and expand relationships with local and regional media outlets across North America.
• Draft and edit press releases, talking points, Q&A documents, and briefing materials.
• Coordinate with external PR agencies and vendors to ensure timely campaign execution.
• Assist in preparing media kits, interview requests, and event logistics (virtual & offline).
• Maintain the company’s media contact database and press archive.
• Support partnership PR initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand voice and messaging.
• Monitor public sentiment, competitive trends, and potential PR risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UA, Brand, Legal, Operations) to ensure message consistency.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations (agency or in-house).
• Strong communication, writing and editing skills; familiarity with AP Style preferred.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and press distribution platforms (e.g., Business Wire, Cision).
• Passion for gaming, entertainment, or digital media is a strong plus.
• Team player with a proactive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
