Responsibilities
- Manage Staffing
- Monitoring breaks, safety, & PPE compliance, shift cleaning assignments
- Monitor company policies compliance of all employees
- Sign offs on quality and changes
- Monitoring and managing daily production, ensuring support from maintenance, process to solve losses, escalate as needed
- Monitoring quality of goods produced
- Coaching and training of operators
- Leading startups and shutdowns to ensure all activities are complete and done in a timely manner
- Conduct disciplinary actions with employees as required
- Closely work with Line and Slitter Leads and, delegate some activities when needed or required
- Lead the process for developing the skills of his/her employees, accelerating cross-training. Assist with any needs of LMS system for employees
- Work with the site counterpart to prioritize daily issues and share/shift resources are required to address and maximize overall plant performance for the shift
- Follow directions from Line Managers
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Employee must have a two-year degree in business or related field or a combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of ADP, Sharepoint, Outlook, Excel and SAP preferred
- Additionally, he/she must possess good problem-solving skills, basic math skills, along with good interpersonal skills. Working harmoniously with co-workers while exhibiting a "can-do" attitude and a Teamwork mindset is critical to success.
- Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a somewhat frequent basis.
Environment
- Work area is a manufacturing environment which is NOT climate-controlled year-round with noise levels ranging from moderate to loud requiring hearing protection.
Salary : $58,000 - $77,000
