Job Description:

Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement nursing care plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery

Nursing Care Plans:
Based on medical histories, physical condition, psychological status, and social factors, develop and adjust nursing diagnoses, objectives, interventions, schedules, and timetables as needed.
Patient Care:
Provide emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends; communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers; and coordinate care within the multidisciplinary team.
Teaching and Education:
Establish patient care goals, instruct patients, family members, and caregivers on condition management, medications, and self-care skills, promoting understanding and empowerment.
Safety and Infection Control:
Comply with organization standards, legal regulations, and established protocols for medication administration, storage, and controlled substances; maintain accurate documentation of patient care services.
Equipment Maintenance:
Ensure patient care equipment operates efficiently by following instructions and procedures; keep supplies ready by checking stock levels and restocking items as needed.
Professional Development:
Stay current with best practices, adhere to organizational policies, and maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
Requirements:
An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, commitment to Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles, and adherence to safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA.
