About the Role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Avera Gettysburg Hospital. The successful candidate will work on a rotating shift schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
The ideal candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team that prioritizes compassion and excellence in patient care. They will deliver high-quality nursing care by developing and implementing individualized plans, providing emotional and psychological support, and promoting health education for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Deliver patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating with other healthcare providers, and coordinating care to meet patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patients' medical histories, physical conditions, and social factors.
- Provide health education and teach patients and their families about condition management, medications, and self-care skills.
- Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, and modifying care plans as needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy patient environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Requirements
- Active license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice upon hire.
