Job Title: Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Behavioral Health team. In this role, you will provide client-centered care to individuals in crisis, focusing on mental health and substance use. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to implement care plans, offer crisis intervention, administer medications, and ensure seamless transitions of care. Whether you're a seasoned RN or a new graduate passionate about behavioral health, we offer comprehensive training and a supportive work environment. Shift differentials are available for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Crisis Intervention & Clinical Assessment: Conduct assessments, identify issues, and provide crisis intervention as needed. Document all interactions and maintain accurate patient records.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications, monitor clients for side effects, and educate clients about their medications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans. Consult and coordinate medical care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Care Transitions: Ensure smooth transitions of care for clients moving between different stages of treatment or providers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Follow all applicable safety protocols and regulatory guidelines, including those for medication audits and documentation.
Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a current and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Colorado or have a Compact License in good standing.
- Experience: New graduates with a strong interest in Behavioral Health and withdrawal management are welcome to apply.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- DORA license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Bilingual or bi-cultural candidates are preferred.
