Position Summary:
The STNA provides essential hands-on care and daily support to residents in a long-term care facility. Working under the supervision of licensed nurses, the STNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), helps maintain a safe and clean environment, and promotes resident dignity and quality of life.

The STNA provides essential hands-on care and daily support to residents in a long-term care facility. Working under the supervision of licensed nurses, the STNA assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), helps maintain a safe and clean environment, and promotes resident dignity and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
- Take and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) as directed.
- Assist residents with mobility, positioning, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
- Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
- Answer call lights promptly and provide needed assistance.
- Help residents with meals, including tray setup and feeding assistance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
- Keep resident rooms clean, organized, and safe.
- Provide respectful, compassionate care in accordance with resident care plans.
- Follow facility policies, state regulations, and infection control protocols.
- Participate in in-service training and continuing education as required.
- Valid STNA certification in the state of employment
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents and perform job-related tasks.
- Current CPR certification (or willing to obtain upon hire).
