We're partnering with one of the fastest-growing AI and technology scale-ups in the US to appoint AI Engineers a pivotal role for someone who enjoys building the product development and data foundations that power intelligent applications, enterprise AI platforms, and next-generation software.

It's an opportunity to sit at the intersection of AI Engineering, Data Engineering, Machine Learning, Cloud Technology, Product Development and Software Development, helping create scalable AI systems that transform how organisations use data.

Key Details:

• Salary & Compensation: $135,000 - $245,000 base salary annual bonus healthcare learning budget equity potential
• Location: Fully remote choice of tech hubs in Chicago, New York, Miami, Washington DC and Dallas
• Future Progression: Senior Data Scientist, Lead Data Scientist, Machine Learning Scientist, AI Research Lead, Head of Data Science, VP of AI & Data you name it! We're growing so there's plenty of flexibility

Key Skills & Technology Experience:

• AI Engineering: Experience developing or supporting AI-powered applications, intelligent automation, LLM integrations, or enterprise AI platforms.
• Data Engineering: Strong experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, modern data platforms, and AI-ready data architectures.
• Programming: Strong Python development skills with experience in SQL and exposure to Java, Scala, Go, or similar technologies advantageous.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience designing and deploying solutions across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or multi-cloud environments.
• Modern Data Platforms: Experience working with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, or similar technologies.
• AI Technologies: Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architecture, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and AI knowledge systems.
• Machine Learning: Experience supporting Data Science teams through feature engineering, model deployment, MLOps, or data preparation workflows.
• Software Engineering: Strong understanding of APIs, cloud-native applications, automation, CI/CD, and scalable engineering principles.
• Data Management: Knowledge of structured and unstructured data, governance, quality, lineage, security, and enterprise data standards.
• Collaboration: Comfortable working alongside AI Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Innovation: Passion for emerging AI technologies with the curiosity to continually improve platforms, processes, and engineering standards.

Role Overview:

Working across AI Engineering, Data Science, Software Engineering, Product Management and Cloud Architecture, you'll build scalable data pipelines, optimise AI-ready datasets, support model development, and help create robust engineering foundations for the company's growing AI ecosystem.

You'll combine technical expertise with commercial awareness, ensuring data platforms are reliable, scalable, and capable of supporting the next generation of AI products.
