We are looking for an experienced medical assistant who would like to have on the job training in taking X-rays along with performing your MA duties at our St. Augustine center. We are interested in hiring a compassionate, forward-thinking individual with experience working in a medical office who is passionate about helping others. Once you learn how to take X-rays there will be additional raises in your hourly salary.
Avecina Medical is an award-winning urgent care practice with 15 locations in North Florida. We have been in practice since 2005 and have been serving patients' needs ever since. We have a great work-life balance, and more than 70% of our staff have been employed by us for over five years.
Responsibilities:
- Triaging patients
- Learning to take x-rays with on the job training
- Checking Vitals
- Documenting visit notes into the EMR
- Assisting the medical providers in their daily activities treating patients
- Administering IM or SQ injections
Schedule:
Every team member works two 12hr shifts, one half shift (6hr) per week. They also alternate every other weekend 8am-5pm. In this method, every staff gets to have two and a half days off every week during the week and alternate weekends. This results in roughly 80 hours per bi-weekly pay period.
