Lead Front Desk Specialist – Lakeland Village (Avari Property Management)

About the Role:

The Lead Front Desk Specialist at Lakeland Village is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for guests, homeowners, and vendors. This role serves as the on-site leader for front desk operations, setting the tone for service standards while supporting a high-volume vacation rental environment.

This position plays a critical role in coordinating guest arrivals and departures, managing parking pass distribution, and ensuring clear communication between front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and property management teams. The Lead Front Desk Specialist is responsible for training and guiding front desk staff, maintaining operational consistency, and ensuring compliance with Lakeland Village HOA policies and procedures. Success in this role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to problem-solve quickly in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in front desk, hospitality, or administrative support
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with reservation or property management systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a vacation rental, resort, or HOA environment
  • Familiarity with systems such as Guesty and Breezeway
  • Experience managing high guest volume and same-day turnovers
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred)
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily front desk operations to ensure efficiency and a high level of guest and owner service
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for guest and owner concerns, resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Supervise, train, and support front desk team members, ensuring adherence to Avari and Lakeland Village standards
  • Manage and support guest check-in and check-out processes, including distributing parking passes and providing property-specific information
  • Coordinate closely with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for arrivals and issues are addressed promptly
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and ensuring front desk coverage aligns with peak arrival times
  • Provide guests and owners with information about Lakeland Village amenities, community guidelines, and local South Lake Tahoe attractions
  • Support parking compliance processes and ensure consistent communication regarding pass requirements
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and professionalism of the front desk and lobby areas
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping, communication logs, and reporting as needed
