Onsite Associate, Lab Services

In this role, you will report to the Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel - and our customers - to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Waltham, MA

Schedule: Mon - Fri, days

Wage: $22 - 24 per hour

What we're looking for:

• HS diploma or GED required.

• Customer service experience required.

• Computer literacy including MS Excel and hand-held scanners required.

• Need to be able to work independently and as a team to achieve the company's goals for the customer required.

• Ability to lift 50Lbs. required.

• Be able to wear appropriate PPE required.

• Proactive safety awareness required.

• Reliable transportation/able to get to work on time required.

• Lab environment experience preferred but not required.

Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support.

In this role you will:

• Receive and deliver product following the work stream hand offs to the appropriate teams, groups or person.

• Keep areas clean and safe so as not to interrupt workflows and promote a safe workplace.

• Support the management of the site's LN2 tank inventory including cryo fills and tank swaps.

• Support the management of the site's dry ice inventory including the filling of lab dry ice bins.

• Support the receiving of packages for "desktop" delivery using tracking software and delivering to locations on site.

• Ability to support customer requests as needed and provide high level of customer service.

• Track activity and data usage and provide input to stakeholders.

• Support lab coat inventory management.

• Strong communication within the team including supporting work efforts as needed.

• Prioritizing and problem solving to achieve personal and team goals.

• Complete required trainings as assigned.

• Other duties as assigned.
