What we’re looking for
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year(s) of laboratory experience and/or applicable work experience
- 1 year of glass wash experience preferred and/or applicable work experience
- Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using computers
- Experience with Microsoft Teams preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous experience in a GMP-regulated facility strongly desired
- Strong communication skills
Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
- Pick up and wash dirty glassware
- Autoclave glassware and tubing
- Restock all clean glassware
- Assemble tubing
- Disassemble bioreactors
- Dispose of cell waste and media
- Check and inspect eyewash stations once a week
- Maintain metrics of washed, autoclaved, repurposed material and MBP waste items
- Manage inventory of gas cylinders and dewars, place orders, and connect and disconnect the product.
- Provides daily customer service functions and communicates with the customer.
- Responsible for all customer service related functions including but not limited to: order entry, reporting, maintaining metrics, and cost savings tracking..
