Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to join our team, providing exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance. Starting pay ranges from $15.00 to $16.00 per hour, with flexible scheduling options available.

Duties

• Monitor and observe patients closely to ensure safety and well-being, recognizing changes in condition promptly
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Administer medications accurately following medical documentation and HIPAA regulations
• Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care techniques and providing companionship
• Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document patient information securely
• Perform vital signs checks such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates
• Utilize specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and catheter care when necessary
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding to ensure proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and general cleaning
• Document medical records thoroughly while respecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines
• Support hospice care patients by providing comfort measures and emotional support during difficult times

Experience

• Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
• Proven track record in patient observation, medical documentation, and medication administration
• Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to caregiving roles is beneficial
• Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as hospice care or catheter care are a plus
• Familiarity with long-term care practices, hospice protocols, and working with EHR/EHR systems enhances your candidacy
• Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with diverse populations in home or community care settings
