Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
- Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident’s
to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance - Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, medication administration, and care planning processes is beneficial
- Experience with group home environments or long-term care facilities will enhance your ability to deliver exceptional support
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfers and mobility assistance
