Avanciers is seeking a highly skilled Sr Java Developer to join our team for an exciting long-term contract with one of our esteemed clients, based in New Jersey, NJ.

- Backend Development and Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services for a financial product. This involves utilizing Java 8 , building REST APIs, and applying Spring Boot and OOP/SOLID principles for microservices.
- Cloud-Native and Event-Driven Architecture: Implement and work hands-on with Microservices Architecture (including patterns like Circuit Breaker/Saga) and Event Streaming technologies such as Kafka or Azure Event Hubs/messaging services on the Azure cloud platform.
- Code Quality and Standards: Actively participate in code reviews, adhere to established coding standards, and support continuous refactoring and technical improvements to ensure service quality.
- DevOps and CI/CD Integration: Apply a basic understanding of DevOps best practices, work with CI/CD pipelines, and use containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes for service deployment and integration.
- Agile Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate closely with QA and DevOps teams, actively participate in Agile ceremonies, and assist in troubleshooting defects and resolving performance issues within the modern financial services environment.
