Avalon Motor Coaches, LLC is seeking a reliable Shop Technician for our Beaumont location. This position is designed for a mechanically-minded individual who is ready to apply their skills in a professional fleet environment. You will work alongside our Lead Mechanic to ensure our motorcoaches are maintained to the highest safety standards.

This is a training-oriented role. We are looking for someone who is interested in expanding their knowledge of heavy-duty diesel mechanics. While this is an entry-level shop position, we prioritize internal development; employees who demonstrate high aptitude and a strong work ethic may have the opportunity to pursue advanced technician levels and CDL licensing as they gain experience.

What We Are Looking For
- Professional Experience: 2 years of experience in a professional shop environment (e.g., Fleet, Tractor-Trailer, or Tire/Brake shop). Note: We are looking for professional shop experience rather than hobbyist/personal vehicle repair.
- Foundational Knowledge: A basic understanding of diesel engines and air brake systems is required.
- Computer Aptitude: Ability to use shop software for logging routine maintenance and work orders.
- Ownership: Candidates must provide their own basic set of mechanic’s tools.
- Reliability: Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation are mandatory.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine PM inspections.
- Safety Systems: Assist with tire and air brake system maintenance.
- Fleet Support: Learn to safely maneuver motorcoaches within the yard (training provided).
- Shop Environment: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace to ensure efficient operations.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Must pass a non-DOT drug screen.
