Compensation & Schedule:

Compensation: This role pays $22.00 per hour on a bi-weekly basis

Schedule: 40 hours per week/5 days - Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Here is what you can expect in your role as Purchasing Agent I – also known as responsibilities:

• Process purchase orders for special order material
• Ensure sufficient inventory through reviewing reports so that stock material level is maintained
• Process purchase order confirmations with manufacturers
• Follow-up on backordered and delayed purchase orders
• Respond to requests from sales and other departments regarding purchase orders
• Maintain good working relationships and dynamics with vendor and manufacturer reps
• Research and corrects invoice discrepancies interacting with manufacturers and product managers
• Other duties may be assigned as necessary

What You Bring to the Table:

• Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrated customer service experience with excellent customer service skills
• 2-3 years purchasing experience
• Experience in the flooring/ home improvement industry is preferred
• Detail-oriented with good math skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Motivation with a drive and desire to succeed
• Able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, and develop alternative solutions
• Professional behavior
• Must exhibit a positive and helpful attitude
• Must be able to be helpful to customers and co-workers
