Inside Sales Consultant– Manalapan, NJ
(Also hiring for our Ocean Township, NJ and Toms River, NJ locations)

Compensation & Schedule
Compensation: This role starts with a paid, hourly training period and then transitions to a commission-based structure. Total annual earnings typically range from $60,000–$100,000 , with unlimited earning potential.
Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position. Inside Sales Consultants work a 5-day schedule, including most weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Monthly schedules are provided in advance.

Here is what you can expect in your role – also known as responsibilities:
- In this inside sales role, you’ll qualify customers to determine the scope of their needs through active listening, exploring the ins and outs of their project criteria and building rapport in a genuine way
- You’ll help to drive sales by selling, upselling, and cross selling products and services and sell the whole project and reach your sales goals
- Model exemplary customer service interactions through consistent language, mindset and technology usage that represents the Avalon way of doing business
What You Bring to the Table:
- At least 2—3 years of retail inside sales experience
- Ability to prioritize customer needs and manage multiple sales opportunities effectively
- Strong communication and listening skills to develop trusting relationships with co-workers and customers
- Must possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members in English
- Prior experience in business development demonstrating the ability to grow sales
- The ability to operate as an account manager for your valued customers
- Patience and grace in managing difficult or emotional customer situations
- The ability to stay focused and effective while managing multiple priorities
- Experience in flooring, home improvement or commission-based sales is helpful but not required
- A warm, compassionate, and team-focused approach
- Design sensibility to generate creative solutions to design challenges
