Position Summary and Job Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Principal Contracts Manager is a senior-level role responsible for leading all aspects of contract management for BGI. This includes strategic oversight of contract creation, , administration, modification, and termination. The Principal Contracts Manager ensures compliance with contractual obligations, drives organizational contract strategies, and serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on contract-related matters.

 

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive oversight for all assigned contract management activities across BGI.
• Lead contract negotiations when applicable and ensure alignment with organizational goals and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement company contract management policies and procedures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on government procurement regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and AFARS.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, teammates, and customers.
• Oversee contract risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align contract strategies with business objectives.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required and/or Preferred Qualifications

• MUST BE U.S. CITIZEN
• Proven track record of leadership in contract management, with at least 15 years of experience.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
• Applicable experience in managerial finance, pricing, and program management
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to prepare contract and subcontracts, negotiate contracts, and conduct contract administration within boundaries of company policies, federal regulations, legal requirements, and customer specifications
