Role: Local Technical Support Engineer 1/ EMC Design and Test Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)
Duration: 7/6/2026 to 7/2/2027 (1 year w/ possible extension)
Job Description:
Candidates must meet the minimum requirements outlined.
• Minimum Requirements: (“Must have” Qualifications)
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
2. Proven experience in EMC design and RF testing with strong EMC debug skills.
3. Proficiency with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
• Desired Skills/Qualifications/System Experience requirements: (“Nice to have Qualifications”)
NOTE: If you require specific years of experience for the Qualifications, please outline accordingly)
1. Experience with regulatory and industry compliance standards such as FCC Part 15, CISPR 32, IEC 61000 series, PTCRB, GCF, EN 50155, or ECE R10.
2. Knowledge of EMC-focused hardware design practices, including PCB layout, grounding, shielding, filtering, and signal integrity techniques for emissions mitigation.
3. Experience supporting product certification activities and working with external test labs, certification bodies, and cross-functional engineering teams to achieve global market approvals.
