Job Overview
We are excited to grow our team and are currently hiring two Overnight Veterinary Assistants for our 4x10 schedule (10:00 PM – 8:00 AM).
This is a key role in our hospital. You will be responsible for monitoring post-operative and hospitalized patients, assisting with treatments, and ensuring every animal is safe, comfortable, and receiving excellent overnight care.

Schedule
10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
4 days per week (10-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
Provide attentive care to post-operative and hospitalized patients
Monitor vitals, recovery status, and patient condition overnight
Administer injections and medications as directed using proper technique
Assist veterinarians and technicians with treatments, catheter placement, lab work, and sample collection
Safely restrain and handle animals during procedures
Maintain accurate medical records and treatment logs
Keep treatment areas, kennels, and equipment clean and organized
Provide basic patient care including feeding, comfort, and cleanliness
Assist with urgent or emergency cases as needed
Support light front desk or record updates when necessary
Requirements
Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required
Strong knowledge of post-operative care and patient monitoring
Comfortable administering injections and handling animals safely
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight
Excellent attention to detail and reliability
Experience with Cornerstone veterinary software is a strong plus
Certification Requirement
Must have a VACSP (Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit) or be willing and able to obtain it within 30 days of hire
