Staff Accountant – Freight Forwarding Industry

We’re looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join the accounting team of a dynamic company in the freight forwarding industry. This is a hands-on accounting role for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing across a variety of accounting functions.

Your Day-to-Day Will Include

·Performing bank and General Ledger reconciliations and researching discrepancies.

·Assisting with month-end closing activities and maintaining accurate financial records.

·Preparing cash projections and monitoring daily cash activity.

·Reviewing and processing accounting transactions, including invoices and payments.

·Tracking and reporting daily sales transactions to ensure accuracy.

·Assisting with internal and external audits and providing supporting documentation.

·Supporting financial reporting and other general accounting activities.

·Working closely with internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

·Assisting with additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.

We’re Looking For Someone Who Has

·A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

·3+ years of accounting experience.

·Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.

·Experience with General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

·Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system and strong Excel skills.

·Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach.

·Freight forwarding or logistics industry experience is preferred.

·Experience with inventory or cost accounting is a plus.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Work Arrangement: 100% onsite
