ACES is seeking a dependable, motivated, and experienced Custodial Supervisor to lead custodial operations and help maintain safe, clean, and well-functioning facilities. This position plays a key leadership role in ensuring that ACES properties, structures, and equipment are properly maintained while supporting a productive and safety-focused work environment.
The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented, highly organized, and able to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
What You’ll Do
Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Train, supervise, and evaluate custodial staff in accordance with the guidelines of the C.S.E.A. Union Contract
- Monitor work progress, quality standards, work conditions, and the overall condition of ACES facilities and equipment
- Ensure safety procedures and regulations are properly implemented and followed, provide necessary safety equipment, and address safety concerns or violations promptly
- Plan, coordinate, and schedule repair and maintenance services in collaboration with ACES operating departments
- Review, approve, and schedule work order requests from all ACES departments, prioritizing health, safety, and emergency-related issues
- Receive maintenance and repair requests, gather and evaluate problem information, and take appropriate action to repair or recommend replacement of equipment or systems
- Respond promptly and effectively to urgent mechanical issues including hot and cold water leaks, natural gas concerns, and fuel-related issues
- Establish preventative maintenance and routine inspection procedures for mechanical equipment and utility systems
- Identify and implement building and grounds maintenance improvements within departmental resources
- Maintain strong communication and working relationships across departments while supporting efficient daily operations
