Junior Project Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to support full-cycle product development initiatives. This role partners with project managers, engineering teams, and product management to assist with schedules, coordination, and project documentation. The ideal candidate is early in their project management career, has exposure to technical or product development environments, and is eager to grow within a collaborative, RD&E-driven organization.
Responsibilities:
•Assist in planning and coordinating product development projects from concept through launch.
•Support engineering teams by helping translate technical requirements into actionable tasks and timeline updates.
•Maintain project schedules by tracking progress, dependencies, and key milestones.
•Help coordinate resources across internal teams and external partners to support on-time delivery.
•Track and document project expenses, including ODC (Other Direct Costs) and Capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgets.
•Support certification and compliance efforts (e.g., CE, FCC, environmental and durability testing), including documentation and coordination with third-party labs.
•Identify potential project risks and communicate them to project managers.
•Assist with launch readiness activities in collaboration with Product Management and cross-functional teams.
•Contribute to status reporting, meeting preparation, and documentation.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
• 0–3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, product development,
engineering, or R&D environments.
• Internship or co-op experience in a technical or product development setting is a plus.
Knowledge of:
• Foundational project management principles and tools.
• Basic product development stages, including prototyping, testing, and release preparation.
• Resource coordination fundamentals and schedule tracking.
• Budget tracking basics and documentation practices.
• Introductory risk identification and issue escalation processes.
• Working with vendors or third-party partners in support of project activities.
Skills:
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced technical environment.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
• Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or
similar platforms).
Desirable Qualifications:
• CAPM or interest in pursuing PMP certification.
• Exposure to regulated product industries, electrical/electronic systems, instrumentation, or similar
technical fields.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
