Description:

Autopilot, Inc., an AS9100 certified precision manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to contribute to our growing company. Autopilot’s customers span many industries, including the outdoor industry, aerospace / defense, photonics / imaging and many other commercial enterprises. The position provides long-term stability and opportunity for career growth. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data and is subject to the EAR and ITAR restrictions. As a result, this job is restricted to U.S. persons only.

Duties:

● Perform quality control checks on all manufactured parts and products, ensuring they meet AS9100 standards and customer requirements

● Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and customer requirements

● Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards and identify areas for improvement

● Manage non-conformance reports and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence

● Work closely with production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues

● Assist in the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives

● Communicate with customers regarding quality issues

● Calibrate inspection equipment on a regular basis to ensure accurate measurements and compliance with AS9100

● Make on the spot decisions pertaining to both technical and cosmetic quality standards

Skills:

● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

● Effective problem-solving and analytical skills

● Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

● Strong computer skills preferred

● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

● Experience with Solidworks or equivalent CAD software is preferred

● This job requires frequent standing, walking, and sitting. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and visual acuity

Experience:

● High School diploma or equivalent

● 2 or 4 year degree in engineering or a related field preferred

● Previous experience working in an ISO or AS quality environment is highly recommended

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
