Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle systems.
• Conduct repairs on powertrain components, including engines, and related systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs, welding, and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
• Service vehicle maintenance needs including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements with precision.
• Collaborate with team members to estimate repair costs accurately (auto estimating) and ensure timely completion of service orders.

Skills

• Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
• Deep understanding of vehicle systems including powertrain, engines, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics for complex troubleshooting.
• Skilled in the use of automotive diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures specific to GM vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a passion for automotive repair and continuous learning in emerging technologies like ADAS.
