This is a great long-term opportunity for a Controller to step into an office with clean books and a solid team already in place. Beautiful facility and positive working conditions. This positions reports directly to the Dealer Principal. The ideal candidate is an experienced Automotive Controller who is honest, trustworthy, and has the dealership’s best interests at heart. Must be well-versed in all areas of automotive accounting. The Controller hired will oversee a small accounting team and will be responsible to close out the month end financial statement. Experience on Dealertrack is a plus, but not mandatory.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily accounting operations and month-end close processEnsure accuracy of all financial statements, schedules, and reportsWork closely with the Dealer Principal and GM and department managers to support store performance and financial goalsMonitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and floorplan accounts.Maintain internal controls and safeguard dealership assetsTrain, develop, and manage accounting personnel.Monitor daily operating control reports and identify variances.Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.Oversee and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure data accuracy.Coordinate with department managers to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.Monitor cash flow, contracts, and factory schedulesPrepare and review budgets, forecasts, and financial analysesManage relationships with banks, auditors, and manufacturersEnsure compliance with OEM, state, and federal regulationsProvide leadership, guidance, and training to accounting team membersOther duties as assignedQualifications:Proven experience as an Automotive Controller in a dealership environmentStrong knowledge of dealership accounting systems and best practicesAbility to lead under pressure while maintaining accuracy and timelinessHigh integrity and discretion with sensitive informationCompensation:Compensation in the $125,000 - $150,000 range depending on experience and track record.Benefits package providedApply:If you're an experience Automotive Controller please apply directly at www.automotivesearchgroup.com and / or call Sara at 508-620-6300 for more information.*ASG honors confidentiality and will never contact your current employer or put your current job in jeopardy*Company DescriptionAt Automotive Search Group, we understand that finding the right role in the automotive industry can be a challenging journey.
